A moment to remember

Introduction to "Gay Holocaust" by INTERNATIONAL HOMOSEXUAL WEB ORGANIZATION

This introduction to "Gay Holocaust" is not very joyous but an interesting reading: NewsAddi knows there were gay-concentrationcamps in the 2. World War run by the Nazis but didn´t know some of the inside stories, so that is why he published some of what is written on the "Gay Holocaust" website.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A letter confirming Dr. Carl Vaernets experiments: Approved by the Reichfuherer SS.

SS Major Vaernet arrived at Buchenwald concentration camp at 26 July 1944 to investigate various possibilities for his experiments, which has been approved by the Reichsführer SS.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is some of what was written about Dr. Carl Vaernet

The operations in Weimar- Buchenwalde were performed the 13th September 1944 on five homosexual camp inmates.

Of them 2 were castrated, 1 sterilized and 2 not operated. All 5 had the "artificial male sexual gland" implanted in different sizes...(this is a part of a 5 page long report to Grawitz)

A week before Carl Vaernet wrote of the trialperson no. 1, inmate no. 21.686 Bernhard Steinhoff, a 55 year old theolog, more than a after the castration:-

"The operation wound has healed, and there is no rejection of the implantated sexual gland. The person feels better and had dreams of ladies..."

The first gay marriage

THE FIRST legal married gay couple was Axel & Eigil Axgil, who married together with 10 other couples in Copenhagen the 1st October 1989. It was a worldwide media event. But at this time Axgils had been together for nearly 40 years, 32 of which under a common name.

Axel and Eigil had in 1957 combined their first names into the family-name Axgil when they were in prison for gay right activism. So many gay couples also changed their names that the government soon stopped this early precursor to civil union. In 1989 the Partnership Law again made such name changes possible.
